Author Biography:
Nicola is an award-winning author of teenage and children’s books, including the critically acclaimed Fleshmarket Close and Sleepwalking.
Both won the Scottish Arts Council Book of the Year. A former English and Special Educational Needs teacher, Nicola founded and ran The Child Literacy Centre. Nicola’s recent book ‘Blame My Brain’ was shortlisted for the Aventis Science Prize. Her most recent book The Highwayman’s Footsteps’ is currently on the shortlist for the Royal Mail Children’s Award.
